Becoming a Freemason is an initiatory journey that leads to a deeper understanding go oneself. Personal growth lies at the heart of this path; a Freemason should continually strive to become a better version of himself, so that he may have a positive influence on those around him and on society as a whole
It is important to distinguish Freemasonry from political or philanthropic clubs, professional networks, personal development practices, and various esoteric groups.
Freemasons work within a Lodge, the fundamental unit of Freemasonry. A Lodge usually brings together between twenty and fifty members. It is within his Lodge that a Freemason experiences and develops his masonic life,
Each Freemason is supported step by step by the other members os his Lodge, who offer guidance and encouragement throughout his journey.
Keep in mind that the Masonic path unfolds over time. Several month may pass between an initial application and admission into a Lodge. This has its advantages; it gives you time to reflect carefully, deepen your understanding, and strengthen your commitment.
